Strategic Trick-or-Treating

A few days ago I posted a story on what NOT to dress up as for Halloween. By now you should have an idea of what you’re going to be for Halloween as it’s a week from Friday. If you’re really prepared, you have probably put together most of your costume, tried it on a few times, and maybe gone through a dry run around the ole neighborhood… if not, good.

Now, you have to plan the big night! You just have one night to get as much candy as possible. When else can you go up to a complete stranger’s (legally I must endorse that you visit only people you know…) door, ring the door bell, and get something for it (besides a punch in the face)? Perhaps the worst part is, you have a short time to do it all in. There’s only so much area you can cover. But here’s something to help you plan your night.

1000AwesomeThings.com has posted an article on how to get the most candy you can possibly get in a limited time span. They go into great detail on how to dress, how to travel, and where (not) to go. From personal experience condo complexes are great. Ring a few door bells at a time and stand in between the doors. And remember, neighborhoods with houses closer together are better, as it means less walking time in between houses.

So with these guidelines, you should be ready for the most successful night of candy grabbing, ever.

BlackBerry Storm

BlackBerry Storm

It’s almost that time of year for me. It’s almost time to get a new cellphone! Wooo! Since touch-screen cellphones are taking over the market, I’m considering getting something that sports a touch-sensitive surface. However, since the iPhone is not one of my choices (I’m not switching to AT&T), I’ve been looking at alternatives and sadly there isn’t anything remotely considered an alternative, until now.

RIM is about to release the BlackBerry Storm in November 2008. This will be the first touch-screen cellphone for the company. Currently, I’m with Sprint but I think I might switch over to Verizon for various reasons, and this is almost making the decision a little easier. I’m not going to get into the technical bits or specifications because Engadget and the official site can do it better, but all I’m going to say is that it looks great.

Check out a few sites I picked out below to see how it works and get more familiar with the device. Phone Scoop has a great hands-on with plenty of pictures. Engadget has a bunch of video’s on how the device works.

Bad Halloween Costume Idea’s.

Alright, I won’t be able to part-take in the Halloween fun this year. My cousin is getting married on November 1st, and October 31st, I will be in a car traveling to Amish country for the weekend. So, what does this mean for you? Well as a visitor to my site, I’m going to help you with some costume idea’s that won’t cut it this year.

Read this article. Take notes. Don’t embarass yourself (or me) on Halloween. Got it? Good. Now go shopping, you have 2 weeks left.

New Ab Workout

I’ve always been a pretty skinny kid. Most recently I put on some weight and finally reached what doctors would call “average weight”. So since I haven’t been working in recent month’s, I’ve decided to start working out at the gym. One goal of mine is to get a flat stomach and I think I found the routine that is perfect for me. Watch the video, maybe she’s onto (or on…) something.

Bride’s Worst Nightmare

Once again, you don’t want to be THAT guy at the wedding. Watch the video, and you’ll feel comfortable knowing that you’re not in this guy’s shoes.
