Plot:
Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort. From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title “The Wolf of Wall Street.” — (C) Paramount
My Review:
I knew I wanted to see this movie since I saw the first trailer. What stopped me from seeing it for a few weeks is that its 3 hours long. I finally found a sucker friend who also was interested in seeing this movie. Overall, I found the movie to be hilarious. It’s great to see Leonardo in a less serious role. I enjoyed the movie from start to finish, but some parts could have been trimmed to cut down on time. Sidenote: Don’t bring your child with you to this movie.
