The Dark Knight: An Average Joe Review

So I saw The Dark Knight last night in IMAX. Big surprise… who HASN’T seen that movie? I won’t bore you with how much money that movie made and how its breaking every record known to man… Instead I’m going to give you my review.

First off, I’m not sure the extra $5 was worth it to see it in IMAX. Yeah the video quality was great, but I thought IMAX screen’s were huuuuge. Last time I saw a movie in IMAX was when I was 15 on a school field trip. From my young memory, I thought IMAX screen’s were like twice the size of your standard theater screen. Guess I was wrong.

I’ve never read Batman comics growing up. If Batman wasn’t wearing a cape in the movie, I wouldn’t know what was going. I went into that movie expecting something to entertain me, which it did.

Plot:
Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker. My Review:
Once again, I know nothing about Batman or what lies beneath each drawing in every comic book. I did have high expectations for this movie as everyone has been raving about it for the last 2 weeks. Overall, I was thoroughly please with that movie. I haven’t seen such a great action movie that kept my attention for the whole movie, in a long time. I didn’t feel like the movie was too long, it did clock in at 2 hours and 30 minutes though. I felt like there was enough action to hold my attention the whole time. Overall, I left the movie theater happy and wouldn’t mind seeing the movie again.
